Costa Mesa home values - Buyer Demand Moving Forward to Start of Season

The start of the expected Orange County home buying season is around the corner with Super Bowl Sunday on Feb. 7.

Costa Mesa, CA, home values and market report – With 168 homes now for sale, this market has continuing good buyer demand. 

53 of those homes now for sale (or 31%) are short sale listings.  133 of homes for sale have asking prices under $700k, and 35 with prices above that amount.

Costa Mesa Housing Market up to $700k

Costa Mesa is like other areas of South Orange County, CA, where homes listed for sale under $700k are selling.  In this range of price, Costa Mesa has 133 homes now listed for sale, as compared to 144 homes now pending and in escrow.

Market with more homes now pending that number of those for sale shows buyer strength and demand.

 

Strength of Costa Mesa housing market tails off at price point above $700k.  In this range Costa Mesa has 35 homes for sale, and just 6 now pending and in escrow.  That’s about right for this time of year and doesn’t show extreme buyer pressure at the higher price point.

With buying pressure and so many homes in pending and escrow, Realtors and agents at Costa Mesa need more homes for sale on the market.
