California Foreclosure Activity Report for November 2010
Foreclosure starts were down 9.3% month-over-month in California. Foreclosure sales are impacted by robo-signing related foreclosure suspensions, such as Ally (GMAC), Bank of America and PNC all halted foreclosure sales.
The foreclosure process has met with challenges for lenders, because of government intervention and lender legal issue problems such as robo-signing of documents. Such delays will extend the time it takes to recover and return to a normal housing market.
In California, foreclosure activity and notice of default filings dipped 9.3% month over month in November. Cancellations of foreclosure sales dropped 8.5% in November, which is also down 54% from peak in June.Foreclosure sales were down by 9.0% from October to November 2010.
