Deadline for US Homebuyer Tax Credit - April 30, 2010 - Will not be Extended

Expanded US Homebuyer Tax Credit has small window now and big opportunity.

Countdown is on, and you as buyers have three more months from Feb. 1 to take advantage of the expanded U.S. Homebuyer Tax Credit.

You must get your home under signed purchase contract by the April 30 deadline.

Congress extended the tax credit and amended it to include some repeat buyers ... with hope that we will see a more sustained real estate balance and upswing.

This April 30, 2010, deadline for this will not be extended by Congress.

For Repeat buyers ...

  • You can qualify for a $6,500 tax credit if they've lived in their home for five consecutive years of the last eight.
  • As long as you are buying a new primary residence, you are not required to sell the current home.

Act now as first time or repeat buyer to take advantage of today's lower home prices and historically low interest rates.

First-timers who were excluded from the $8,000 credit by the prior income limits will be looking to get involved.  The new income limits are $125,000 for individual filers and $225,000 for joint filers.

Get going on this now, contact your local REALTOR, buy the home and take advantage of the US homebuyer tax credit 2010.
