Orange County Homes For Sale Market is Like Others and Has Lots of Distressed Properties

35% of Orange County homes now listed for sale are distressed properties, and most of those are short listings.

If the short sale is approved by lenders, the homeowner would sell at price for less than the outstanding mortgage on a property.  Owners must get lender approval for any short sale, and most such short listings are not lender approved.

The more expensive homes listed for sale at OC have the fewest short listings as compared with all listings.

Rancho Santa Margarita at South OC at 72% has the highest percentage of short listings at Orange County.
