Gov. Schwarzenegger's Excellent New Approach for Solving California State Budget Problems
California Governor on January 8, 2020, announced his good business approach for State Budget 2010-2011, which would ...
Fully Funds Education - Governor’s proposed budget reflects the priorities of Californians by fully funding education, maintaining the same funding levels as last year, despite deep cuts in every other area of government.
State Employee Compensation - proposed 15 percent reduction in state personnel costs achieved by modifying employee compensation and reducing our workforce budget.
- Employees will be required to contribute an additional five percent towards their retirement costs;
- An across the board five percent reduction in all salaries;
- A five percent reduction in the cost of the state workforce payroll implemented by executive order S-01-10 requiring all department directors to reduce their payrolls by five percent.
California’s Fair Share from the Federal Government - US government should pay California’s taxpayers the $6.9 billion in funds it owes.
I support our Governor in this his sensible approach to our state budget problems 2010-2011.
