Orange County Home Sales Shifted to Improved Numbers at Higher Price

2,885 Orange County homes were sold in December, 2009, which is 11.8 percent increase as compared to December 2008. 

 

However, home sold values were not increasing, and declining prices for more expensive homes boosted number of solds.

 

The Southern California housing markets had about 20% of homes sold to investors during December, 2009.

 

Buyers paid cash for nearly 25 percent of homes sold in SoCal counties, which is higher than 22 percent same time a year earlier December 2008.
